About Brant Kerbs

Brant grew up on a dairy farm in Rexburg, where his grandfather started farming in the 1940s and his father continued in the 1960s.

By the age of 8, he was learning to operate farm equipment, and by age 12, he was skilled enough to do anything on the farm. He preferred working on the farm then attending school—he didn’t want to ride the "yellow cheese wagon" (the school bus) and instead wanted to be home running the equipment.

He eventually bought 348 acres and raised crops like wheat, barley, and alfalfa hay. Rexburg's climate and volcanic ash soil make it ideal for growing potatoes, which takes about four months to harvest.

Brant has spent his entire life in farming, His favorite chip flavor is Dill Pickle and BBQ

His Advice to us as college students

Good luck to you! Work hard and be frugal, never get in debt, try not too, and pick great spouses!
